Following the scheduling of your operation, you will receive a packet with all the paperwork you need for the procedure. This information should be kept secure so that it may be quickly retrieved when needed. When the appointments are made, you can also be given some pre-operative ones. They could be a pre-op visit at one of our clinics, a combined education session, or an appointment for pre-admission testing at the hospital. Furthermore, consent from your primary care physician and any specialists you see may be required. You will have enough time to attend these appointments before surgery, so you can get ready for the hospital stay and post-operative treatment.

This is to make sure you are well enough to have surgery and anesthetic performed safely. You will receive clearance forms when your operation is scheduled. Making doctor's appointments and making sure all required permissions are obtained are your responsibilities.
For Hospital Procedures
You will speak with a surgical services nurse at this appointment to discuss your medical history, go over pre-surgery instructions, and finish any tests that your doctor and anesthesiologist have prescribed. A urinalysis, an EKG, blood work, and other tests can be among them. Please bring the results and clearances from any previous testing your present physician(s) may have performed to the appointment. The tests have to be completed no later than 30 days before your procedure.
