Karoush Tavanaiepour, DO, is a board-certified neurosurgeon and assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. He is chief of spine surgery at UF Health Jacksonville and medical director of the UF Health Comprehensive Spine Center – North. In addition to seeing patients UF Health, Dr. Tavanaiepour also sees patients at Integrity Spine & Orthopedics in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Tavanaiepour completed his undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his neurosurgery internship and fellowship training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. He completed his minimally invasive and complex spine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Tavanaiepour specializes in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery, and neurological surgery. His clinical interests include treatments for all types of spine disorders, from chronic back pain to complex conditions, such as adult scoliosis. Other conditions treated include intervertebral disc disease, spinal tumors and spine deformities.
