
Dr. Spurrier is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurosurgeon. He brings to Integrity Spine and Orthopedics nearly four decades of experience in neurosurgery and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures for the spine and extremities. In addition to surgery, he utilizes a wide variety of conservative techniques such as physical therapy, medication and injections to relieve pain and restore function.
Dr. Spurrier received his medical degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He completed internships in Pediatrics at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, followed by a Neurosurgical residency at East Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk. He completed a Fellowship in Cerebrovascular Surgery at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Gainesville. He holds specialty certification through the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Willits performs interventional pain management procedures and offers conscious sedation for patients who are anxious about needles and would like to be sedated during the procedure.
Dr. Willits obtained his Bachelors’ Degree from University of Texas in Dallas and his MD from University of Texas in Houston. Dr. Willits then completed his orthopedic surgeon residency program at the John Peter Smith Hospital in the level II trauma center. Afterward, Dr.Willits obtained his pediatric orthopedic fellowship working in the level I trauma center in the Nationwide Children’s Hospital. While studying to become a surgeon and during his years of residency, Dr. Willits served as a Lieutenant Commander for the Fleet Naval Medical Unit (2004-2013).
In 2011, Dr. Willits became the director of pediatric orthopedic surgery for the children’s hospital in Tulsa, OK and remained director for four years.
Dr. Willits moved to Florida in 2018 and has focused on orthopedics for both adults and pediatrics. He specializes in endoscopic spine surgeries and interventional pain procedures. Since moving to Florida he has conducted over 5000 clinic visits, 400 operations and 2000 injections. He is one of only three surgeons in the United States that does cervical endoscopic surgery.
